⬡ What I Do
Three ways I show up
Builder
AI agents, workflow automation, full-stack apps, and a datacenter simulation game built in Rust. I build things end-to-end.
View Projects →Creator
Creative vision that drives technical direction. I think in systems and stories — shaping how products feel, how teams move, and how ideas turn into things worth building.
See the work →Consultant
AI systems design and workflow automation through Blue Ridge Systems. I help organizations cut the AI hype and ship real solutions.

Apstra CloudLabs
🔒Took a handful of Ansible scripts and re-architected them into a global cloud platform. Survived an acquisition. Convinced a Fortune 500 CEO to increase our budget. Onboarded Juniper's entire sales and support org. Team of four.
💻 Python
PortfolioBuilder
🔒The site you're looking at. Forked, rebuilt, and extended into an AI-native portfolio with A2A protocol support, agentic deployment, and a dark cyberpunk aesthetic — managed entirely by an AI collaborator.
💻 TypeScript
Artist Dashboard
🔒Act 1 of a two-part experiment in agentic development. Full SaaS, built entirely through AI prompts in a familiar stack (Python/FastAPI) — no code written by hand. The product shut down. The methodology didn't. What I learned here became the foundation for Root Cause.
apstra-api-python
Network engineers knew CLI. They didn't know REST. Apstra's API was powerful but brutal to learn. So I built a library that met people where they were — and taught while it did.

⚗️ Agentic Development · Case Study
Root Cause
A deliberately complex system built in an unfamiliar domain to answer one question: what does agentic development actually produce?
Ryan architected a full datacenter sim — power distribution, thermal management, CLOS networking, cascading failures, a local multi-agent AI system — in Rust and Bevy, a stack he'd never used. Claude Code and Lisa executed under his direction. 80+ integration tests shipped. The methodology held. The game is real. The point was the process.

Creativity is how
I find new directions
I paint to slow down. I build games to think sideways. Art isn't separate from the technical work — it's where the best ideas come from. Stepping away from a hard problem and making something with my hands has a way of unlocking things that staring at a screen never does.
Not professional services. Just what keeps the thinking fresh.
See what I'm exploring →Painting
Deliberate slowdown. Abstract series.
Game Dev
Building Root Cause to think differently.
New Directions
Every creative detour teaches something.
Making Things
Curiosity as a practice, not a deliverable.
Let's build
something worth shipping.
Whether you need AI workflow automation, a technical collaborator, or someone to translate your vision into production-quality code — I'm up for it.
